Any plans to bring the bag/power ring back?

The bottom of kettle has sharp edges. Sliced my finger trying to wipe out some of the soot. Also wish the bowl snapped over bottom of kettel instead of going inside. This would keep soot from bottom of kettel getting on gear and prevent the sharp edges of bottom from cutting through carrying bag or adjacent gear.

Do i need to worry about ash/pellet residue trapped down between the walls of the chamber

I bought mine last year and used it on my 2 week motocamping trip and it worked like a charm! I took wood pellets to burn in it because I know they would always be dry and light if everything else was wet. In hindsight I took far more than I need to which was a bit of a pain being loaded heavy already. Live and learn though. I have to try the grill yet, I didn't take it with me even on my trip because I was in bear country and I figured it may be hard to get clean enough to not attract them and space was an issue. Other than that it was great, and could put some charge back into small stuff.

just bought it tonight and wanted to try all the features. I tried starting a fire with small pine slivers and pieces of paper. didn't really work, and i didnt know about the fan initially so I didn't have the power module installed. i think pellets are probably the way to go because I was feeding the fire every couple of minutes it seemed like, which is kind of impossible out in the wild. I was impressed with how fast the water heated even on the low fan setting; its faster than putting the kettle in a fire. I'm still figuring out the grill-- the metal got hot, but I couldn't make a piece of toast. i think the pellets will help with this immensely. wood from the wild will work in a pinch, you just have to really nurse the thing or the fire will eat all the fuel in a couple of minutes.
